Taxonomy
Cyrtocerina kimmswickense was named by Flower (1952). Its type specimen is a specimen in the USNM, a shell, and it is a cast. Its type locality is 1/4 mi north of New Hope, which is in a Trentonian carbonate limestone in the Kimmswick limestone Formation of Missouri.
