Taxonomy
Bellerophon roemeri was named by Fliegel (1901). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Padang Highlands, which is in a Roadian/Wordian carbonate limestone in the Silungkang Formation of Indonesia.
It was recombined as Bellerophon (Bellerophon) roemeri by Batten (1972); it was recombined as Waagenella roemeri by Wagner (2023).
