Taxonomy
Bellerophon impressus was named by Waagen (1880). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chidru, Upper Productus-limestone, Salt Range (Oldham coll), which is in a Changhsingian shallow subtidal limestone in the Chhidru Formation of Pakistan.
