Taxonomy
Clydoniceras is a genus. It is not extant. Its type is Ammonites discus. It is the type genus of Clydoniceratidae.

It was assigned to Clydoniceratidae by Arkell (1952), Arkell et al. (1957) and Besnosov and Mitta (1993); and to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002).
