It was assigned to Parahoplitidae by Renz (1982); to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002); to Acanthoplitinae by Stoyanow (1949), Robert and Bulot (2005), Barragán and Maurrasse (2008) and Futakami (2018); and to Acanthohoplitinae by Szives (2007), Lehmann et al. (2019) and Matsukawa (2021).
