Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
W. A. Cobban and G. R. Scott 1972Conlinoceras differs from the other groups of Calycoceras chiefly in its sparser ribbing and in reduction in strength of the umbilical tubercles to bullae or even to slightly accentuated ribs. The umbilical wall is low compared to the high steep wall of typical Calycoceras.
C. W. Wright et al. 1996Early whorls with weak ornament similar to that of Acanthoceras; mature whorls circular to compressed in section, with distant, high ribs crossing venter and almost no umbilical tubercles.
