Tiramnia tschusovensis was named by Kalashnikov (1998). Its type specimen is PIN 4605/91 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chusovaya River, Plakun Rock, Perm Oblast, which is in an Asselian marine horizon in the Russian Federation.
