Properrinites boesei
Taxonomy
Perrinites boesei was named by Plummer and Scott (1937). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is B.E.G. 42-T-18, Gulf Colorado & Santa Fe Railway, Coleman, which is in an Artinskian coastal shale in the Admiral Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Properrinites.
It was recombined as Properrinites boesei by Miller and Furnish (1940), Miller and Youngquist (1947), Tharalson (1984), Kues (1995) and Leonova (2002).
