Oepikium was named by Agnew (1942) [Sepkoski's age data: O Llvi-l O Ashg-u Sepkoski's reference number: 78,855,1066].

It was assigned to Oepikiumidae by Jaanusson (1957); to Piretellidae by Benson et al. (1961); and to Palaeocopida by Sepkoski (2002).

Synonyms
  • Biflabellum was named by Oepik (1935).

    It was synonymized subjectively with Oepikium by Kesling (1955).
