Diadochoceras was named by Hyatt (1900) [Sepkoski's age data: K Apti-u]. Its type is Ammonites nodosocostatus.
It was assigned to Parahoplitidae by Renz (1982); to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002); to Cheloniceratinae by Szives (2007); and to Parahoplitinae by Lehmann et al. (2019).
