Taxonomy
Ammonites ferandianus was named by d'Orbigny (1841). It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Hemihoplites feraudianus by Cantu-Chapa (1962), Klinger and Kennedy (1992) and Klein et al. (2007).
