Taxonomy
Collidosuchus was named by Gubin (1986). It is not extant. Its type is Collidosuchus tchudinovi.

It was assigned to Archegosauridae by Gubin (1997) and Shishkin et al. (2000); and to Archegosaurinae by Schoch and Milner (2000).
