Taxonomy
Pamelaria dolichotrachela was named by Sen (2003). Its type specimen is ISIR 316, a skeleton (Almost complete associated skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bhimaram village, which is in an Anisian terrestrial mudstone in the Yerrapalli Formation of India. It is the type species of Pamelaria.
