Taxonomy
Microsolena crassisepta was named by Sikharulidze (1985). Its type locality is Godogani, which is in a Hauterivian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in Georgia.

It was recombined as Periseris crassisepta by Löser et al. (2021).
