Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
E. L. Rasmusson Simons and G. A. Buckley 2009Differs from all other trematochampsid genera (for which comparable parts are preserved) in presence of distinct convex medial ridge on dorsal surface of fused frontals; differs from Hamadasuchus, Bergisuchus, and Eremosuchus in unique combination of large dentary teeth at positions four and ten; differs from Trematochampsa, Hamadasuchus, and Bergisuchus in sinusoidal lateral margin of dentary in dorsal view; differs from Hamadasuchus and Bergisuchus in presence of lateral concavity in dentary positioned to accommodate large maxillary teeth; dentary proportionally wider and deeper than that of Trematochampsa, Itasuchus, and Eremosuchus.
