Taxonomy
Syzygophyllia hadleyi was named by Wells (1934). Its type locality is Loma Calixto, Camagüey, which is in an Eocene shallow subtidal limestone in Cuba.

It was recombined as Antillia hadleyi by Stemann (2003).
