Taxonomy
Fenestella horologia was named by Bretnall (1926). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gascoyne River District (GSWA collection), which is in a Sakmarian coastal horizon in the Callytharra Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Fenestrellina horologia by Crockford (1943), Crockford (1944) and Crockford (1944); it was recombined as Alternifenestella horologia by Sakagami and Pillevuit (1997) and Morozova (2004).
