Taxonomy
Cyclotrypa eximia was named by Morozova (1986). Its type specimen is PIN 3947/449 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Medvezhii Island, east coast, which is in a Kungurian marine horizon in the Kapp Starostin Formation of Norway.
