Taxonomy
Pecten minimus was named by Kiparisova (1938). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Karpinskaya Bay, Russky Island, which is in a Triassic marine horizon in the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Leptochondria minima by Nakazawa (1971), Nakazawa (1981), Sha (1995), Gavrilova (1995), Dagis et al. (1996) and Kumagae and Nakazawa (2009).
