Taxonomy
Wyomingites ussuriensis was named by Zakharov (1968). It is the type species of Palaeokazakhstanites.

It was recombined as Palaeokazachstanites ussuriensis by Zakharov (1978); it was recombined as Palaeokazakhstanites ussuriensis by Shigeta and Zakharov (2009).
