R. H. Denison 1970Mostly moderate-sized or rather large pteraspids. The rostrum more or less elongate, but lacking a preoral field, and havingitsventralpreoralsurfacecoveredwithdentineridges. Bran- chial openings well in advance of the postero-lateral corners of the dorsal shield, and bounded by branchial and cornual plates.
