Homoeoplanulites was named as a genus. It is not extant.

It was reranked as Choffatia (Homoeoplanulites) by Dominjon (1969); it was synonymized subjectively with Choffatia by ZatoĊ„ (2010); it was misspelled as Homeoplanulites by Besnosov and Mitta (1993), Sepkoski (2002), Majidifard (2015) and Poulton and Hall (2019).

It was assigned to Choffatia by Dominjon (1969); to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002); to Perisphinctidae by Besnosov and Mitta (1993) and Majidifard (2015); and to Pseudoperisphinctinae by Poulton and Hall (2019).
