Polypora keppelensis was named by Crockford (1962). Its type specimen is UQ F7974A and is a 3D body fossil.

Synonyms

Polypora minuta was named by Crockford (1946). Its type specimen is UQ F7974A and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lakes Creek Quarry, Trachypora horizon, Rockhampton, which is in a Kungurian carbonate limestone in the Berserker Formation of Australia.

It was replaced with Polypora keppelensis by Crockford (1962).
