Taxonomy
Polypora multinodata was named by Crockford (1941). Its type specimen is Sydney Univ 1416 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Belford Parish, Portion 15, which is in a Kungurian offshore shale in the Fenestella Shales Formation of Australia.
