Porites solida

Anthozoa - Scleractinia - Poritidae

Madrepora solida was named by Forskal (1775). It is extant. Its type locality is UC 738 - Coyote Mountain [Imperial Fm], which is in a Pliocene marine sandstone in the Imperial Formation of California.

It was recombined as Porites solida by Klunzinger (1879); it was recombined as Goniastrea solida by Gardiner (1904).
