Taxonomy
Lapillopsis nana was named by Warren and Hutchinson (1990). Its type specimen is QMF 12284, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is QMF L78 (Rewan Formation), which is in an Induan fluvial mudstone/ironstone in the Arcadia Formation of Australia.
