It was assigned to Polyptychoceratinae by Kennedy (2000); to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002); and to Diplomoceratinae by Kennedy and Cobban (1993), Kennedy (1995), Kennedy et al. (2000) and Niebuhr et al. (2016).
