Taxonomy
Lilloettia was named by Crickmay (1930) [Sepkoski's age data: J Bath-u J Call-m Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. Its type is Lilloettia lilloetensis.

It was assigned to Macrocephalitidae by Imlay (1953) and Arkell et al. (1957); to Eurycephalitinae by Arthur et al. (1993) and Parent (1998); and to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002).
