Kewia marquamensis

Taxonomy
Kewia marquamensis was named by Linder et al. (1988). Its type specimen is UCMP 38207, a test, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 10568, Wilhoit [Marquam Mbr, Scotts Mills Fm], which is in a Chattian shallow subtidal sandstone in the Scotts Mills Formation of Oregon.

Linder et al. 1988Test very small with subpentagonal outline; width greater than length; both peristome and apical system anteriorly eccentric about 7 percent; periproct supramarginal, situated above ambitus about 2-3 periproct diameters, between third and fourth pair of coronal plates; anterior petal open, inflated distally, distinctly flared; anterior paired petals subparallel, pos- terior paired petals narrowly parallel; bivium angle 62?; smallest adult size observed 5.6 mm (anterior-posterior) with four gono- pores; largest specimen about 14 mm.
