It was assigned to Echinodermata by Sprinkle (1973); to Eocrinoidea by Beaver et al. (1967) and Jell et al. (1985); to Glyptocystitidacea by Mergl and Prokop (2006); to Glyptocystitida by Zamora et al. (2009); and to Glyptocystitoida by Paul and Rozhnov (2016).
