Taxonomy
Denaea fournieri was named by Pruvost (1922). Its type specimen is CAM 201, a partial skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Denée, which is in an Arundian/Holkerian marine limestone in the Marbre Noir Formation of Belgium.
