Macrourogaleus hassei
Taxonomy
Pristiurus hassei was named by Woodward (1889). Its type specimen is BSP AS 1363, a skeleton (complete specimen), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Eichstätt [Solnhofener Plattenkalk], which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofener Plattenkalk Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Macrourogaleus hassei by Fowler (1947) and Klug (2008).
