Globoquadrina was named by Finlay (1947) [Sepkoski's age data: T Eo-u T Mi-u Sepkoski's reference number: 939]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Globigerinidae by Snyder et al. (1983) and Gibson (1983); and to Foraminiferida by Sepkoski (2002).
