Taxonomy
Squaliodalatias weltoni was named by Adnet et al. (2006). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quarry Miretrain, Angoumé, Landes, which is in a Lutetian marine horizon in the Marl Formation of France. It is the type species of Squaliodalatias.
