Taxonomy
Pokljukosmilia tuvalica was named by Turnsek and Buser (1989). Its type locality is Pokljuka reef, Northern Julian Alps, which is in a Carnian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in Slovenia. It is the type species of Pokljukosmilia.
