Taxonomy
Hexapetalum impium was named by Eliasova (1975). Its type locality is Jasenice, Stramberk reef limestone, Czechia, which is in a Tithonian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Stramberk Limestone Formation of the Czech Republic. It is the type species of Hexapetalum.
