Taxonomy
Columnastraea bicoronata was named by Gregory (1900). It is not extant. Its type locality is Auradu, Auradu Limestone, which is in a Paleocene reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Auradu Limestone Formation of Somalia.
It was recombined as Stephanaxophyllia bicoronata by Baron-Szabo (2006).
