Anthocyrtis hispida was named by Ehrenberg) (1873). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Cycladophora hispida by Riedel and Sanfilippo (1970) and Riedel and Sanfilippo (1970); it was recombined as Calocyclas hispida by Sanfilippo et al. (2003).
