Entactinosphaera palimbola was named by Foreman (1963). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Trilonche palimbola by Wang et al. (2003).

Y. Wang et al. 2003Two concentric spherical lattice shells with six three-bladed main spines. Two main spines are robust but one of them is extremely large and massive. Four other main spines are smaller and about equal in size. No by-spines or by-spines not developed.
