Pasawioops was named by Fröbisch and Reisz (2008). It is not extant. Its type is Pasawioops mayi.

It was assigned to Amphibamidae by Fröbisch and Reisz (2008) and Bourget and Anderson (2011); and to Micropholidae by Schoch (2019) and Schoch et al. (2021).
