Clausastrea pseudoconfluens was named by Eliasova (1976). Its type locality is Skalicka, Stramberk reef limestone, Czechia, which is in a Tithonian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Stramberk Limestone Formation of the Czech Republic.
