Taxonomy
Verrucocoelia biswasi was named by Rigby and Mohanti (1993). Its type specimen is UU 1/1990 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lakhpat Fort, which is in an Eocene lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal reef rocks/marl in the Fulra Limestone Formation of India.
