It was reranked as Vascoceras (Paramammites) by Faraud (1940).

It was assigned to Vascoceras by Faraud (1940); to Vascoceratidae by Reyment (1954) and Chancellor (1982); to Vascoceratinae by Meister (1989) and Kennedy and Simmons (1991); to Euomphaloceratinae by Wright et al. (1996); and to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002).
