Ademosynidae was named by Ponomarenko (1968). Its type is Ademosyne.
It was synonymized subjectively with Permosynidae by Riek (1974) and Martins-Neto and Gallego (2007).
It was assigned to Archostemata by Carpenter (1992); to Metacoleoptera by Boudinot et al. (2022); and to Permosynoidea by Bouchard et al. (2011) and Cai et al. (2022).
It was synonymized subjectively with Permosynidae by Riek (1974) and Martins-Neto and Gallego (2007).
