Taxonomy
Australobatrachus ilius was named by Tyler (1976). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tedford Locality, Lake Palankarinna, which is in an Oligocene lacustrine horizon in the Etadunna Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Australobatrachus.
