Taxonomy
Antillaster flexuosus was named by Lambert (1924). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is "Cervantes", San José de las Lajas, which is in a Miocene/Miocene marine horizon in Cuba.

It was synonymized subjectively with Antillaster sanchezi by Kier (1984).
