Taxonomy
Dasyatis wochadunensis was named by Ward (1979). Its type specimen is BMNH P. 59560 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ockendon Clay Plant, which is in a Ypresian marine claystone in the London Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
