Polyplectites was named as a genus. It is not extant.

It was synonymized subjectively with Cadomites by Zaton (2010); it was reranked as Cadomites (Polyplectites) by Besnosov and Mitta (1993) and Majidifard (2015).

It was assigned to Stephanoceratidae by Arkell et al. (1957); to Ammonoidea by Sepkoski (2002); and to Cadomites by Besnosov and Mitta (1993) and Majidifard (2015).
