Atlanticopristis equatorialis

Taxonomy
Atlanticopristis equatorialis was named by Pereira and Medeiros (2008). Its type specimen is CPHNAMA-VT 1174, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Laje do Coringa, Ilha do Cajual, which is in a Cenomanian estuary/bay sandstone/conglomerate in the Alcântara Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Atlanticopristis.
