Taxonomy
Rhinobatus tenuirostris was named by Davis (1887). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sahil Alma (Lewis collection), which is in a Santonian carbonate lime mudstone in Lebanon.
It was recombined as Rhinobatos tenuirostris by Woodward (1889), Cappetta (1980), Cappetta (1987) and Brito and Dutheil (2004).
